A trio of Waterbury apartment buildings has been sold for a total of $2 million. The buildings, located at 12-14 Elm Street, 10-12 Hill Street, and 7-9 Spring Street, are all three-story, brick structures.
The buyer of the properties is Elm Street Real Estate LLC, a Connecticut-based company. The buildings, which have a total of 27 units, were sold by Bleecker Realty LLC. The buildings were last renovated in 2014.
The properties were originally owned by the Waterbury Housing Authority, which sold them in 2015. The sale of the buildings follows a trend of apartment-building sales in Waterbury, with three such sales having occurred within the past year.
The buildings are located in the city’s downtown area, near local amenities such as shops and restaurants. The downtown area is also home to the Palace Theater, a performance venue that attracts many tourists to the city.
The sale of the three buildings marks the latest in a wave of apartment-building sales in Waterbury. The trend is likely to continue, as city officials have been actively encouraging more development in the area. With the downtown area becoming increasingly desirable, the demand for rental housing is expected to remain strong.
